Positions at Camp

Availability:

Our Summer program encourages staff to work the full 8 weeks of the camp season; however, we can offer some flexibility. Staff Orientation is likely to be held a week prior to the start of the camp season. Orientation is mandatory.

Position-Specific Requirements

Lifeguard/Swim Instructor (From $19 to $23)

17 years old by June 1st
High school graduate
Lifeguard and CPR Certification required by June 1st
Work a minimum of 6 out of the 8 weeks of camp.
*** A 8 week commitment is highly encouraged.**
Full Day Hours: 7:30am - 3:45pm

Junior Counselors (from $15.50 to $17.25)

Counselors at least 16 years of age, are still in high school, or have not completed their first year of college. Junior counselors work in collaboration with Senior Counselors and Group Leaders to:

Provide a healthy, safe, and inclusive camp community.
Participate in all camp activities and events.
Be energetic and charismatic.
Provide for the physical and emotional safety of all children.
Work a minimum of 6 out of the 8 weeks of camp.
** A 8 week commitment is highly encouraged.**

Full Day Hours: 7:30am - 3:45pm

Senior Counselors (From 17.50 - $19.50)

Must have completed at least 1 year of college but have not graduated from college or the equivalent. Senior counselors possess group management skills and are the direct line of communication to the Summer Directors. Applicants with an interest in early childhood development or education are encouraged to apply. Senior counselors work in tandem with Group leaders and junior counselors to:

Provide a healthy, safe, and inclusive camp community.
Participate in all camp activities and events.
Be energetic and charismatic.
Provide for the physical and emotional safety of all children.
Work a minimum of 6 out of the 8 weeks of camp.
** A 8 week commitment is highly encouraged.**

Full Day Hours: 7:30am - 3:45pm

Group Leaders- 3’s Group (From $19.50 to $25)

Must be college graduates or have equivalent experience. Group Leaders have experience leading exciting and engaging activities that are appropriate for elementary-aged campers. Group Leaders are the direct line of communication to the Summer Directors.

Possess classroom and/or team management experience.
Are Teachers, Para professionals, Teaching assistants, Coaches.
Participate in all camp activities and events.
Be energetic and charismatic.
Provide for the physical and emotional safety of all children.
Work a minimum of 6 out of the 8 weeks of camp.
** A 8 week commitment is highly encouraged.**
Half Day Hours: 7:30am - 1:30pm

Floater (From $19 - $23)

College Student, College Graduate, or equivalent experience
Background in Special Ed
Full Day Hours: 7:30am - 3:45pm

Group Leaders- Pre K and K Group (From $19.50 to $25)

Must be college graduates or have equivalent experience. Group Leaders have experience leading exciting and engaging activities that are appropriate for elementary aged campers. Group Leaders are the direct line of communication to the Summer Directors.

Camp Nurse

21 years of age or older and shall be a Massachusetts licensed physician, physician assistant, certified nurse practitioner, registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or other person specially trained in first aid. RN or RN with BSN preferred. (RN would need to be Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.)
