Tenacre Parents Association

One of the unique aspects of Tenacre Country Day School is the enthusiasm of parents to be involved in Tenacre activities that support the school.
The Tenacre Parents Association (TPA), which includes all parents and staff, was formed to assist in fundraising and planning ways for Tenacre families to interact with the school and each other. Its stated goal is to contribute to the school through service, social, and financial endeavors.

TPA meetings are held regularly to discuss issues and plan events. These meetings are announced in the weekly e-newsletter, the Green Leaf, and are listed on the school calendar. All parents are welcome and encouraged to attend. Parents are always needed and may volunteer their services to any of the committees.

TPA Events

  • The TPA hosts a variety of events at Tenacre throughout the year. They range from enrichment activities for students to social events for parents. Examples include:
  • Tenacre's Understanding Differences unit, in which the TPA brings in people with disabilities to talk about their everyday lives.
  • Pizza Bingo, a beloved winter event where the entire community gathers for—you guessed it—pizza and bingo!
  • The festive holiday cocktail party for parents and staff
  • Pancake Breakfast on a Saturday morning
  • The Tenacre Fair, a fair held on campus every spring—a highlight for many students!
