Full Day Camp (Entering K - 6th)

The Full Day Camp consists of three divisions, Lower Camp (entering K & 1st), Middle Camp (entering 2nd & 3rd) and Upper Camp (entering 4th - 6th).  A series of activities are planned to ensure a day of variety and fun. In addition to a daily swim lesson, our camp activities may include: sports, arts, music, recreational swim, dance & movement, nature, science, crafts, gaga ball, and more! There is also some emphasis on outdoor education woven into the camp program. The instructional activities may include creative arts, high-low ropes course, clay, archery and swimming.

The Lower Camp offers a well-rounded experience in a nurturing and noncompetitive environment. This age group introduces exciting activities such as archery and low ropes course. Children have a swim lesson in the morning and a recreational swim time in the afternoon.

Once campers begin Middle Camp, choice activities become a part of their program. We put daily opportunities into the schedule that allow middle and upper campers to spend extra time in activities that they find the most exciting, and to spend more time with campers of similar interests. Choices may include science experiments, art, yoga, friendship bracelets, dance, gaga ball, hand sewing projects, coding, board-games, indoor tennis, ultimate frisbee, newcomb, capture the flag, and more! All of the Choice Activities are led or supervised by one of our Activity Specialists to ensure that the campers get quality instruction.

Upper Camp adds a leadership component to the camp day and experience, incorporating new programs such as Big Friend/Little Friend, Community Service sign up opportunities, helping Activity Specialists with Choice planning, and getting to assist with the weekly camp newsletter. Some activity periods are also longer in Upper Camp so that campers can really dive into whatever they're interested in.

Our facilities have air conditioned buildings, an archery range, fields, a large gymnasium, two heated, outdoor pools. They wonderfully support our elementary school-aged campers.

  • Camp Goals and Outcomes

First and foremost, we want our campers to have a fun summer while they develop self-esteem, learn to be more independent, and make new friends! It’s important that our campers enjoy their experience and want to come back to camp.  Our staff strive to ensure that all campers are having fun and feel comfortable and safe so that they get the most out of our programming.

      • Older campers (entering 2nd - 6th grade) have choice activities (weather permitting).
      • Each camper will participate in at least one activity every day that promotes self-esteem such as low or high challenge course elements, sports, swimming, or archery.
      • Campers participate in name games on Monday that allow everyone to get to know one another.
      • The nurturing and friendly staff positively encourage their campers throughout the camp day and encourage all campers to participate in the camp activities on a daily basis.
      • All campers participate in 2 or more activities that challenge them during the week, and these activities might include crafts, sports, dance, yoga, swimming, ropes course, and archery.
      • The staff encourage children to reach beyond their group of friends and expand their friendship circle.
      • Campers interact with each other, and they learn about each other, and create friendships in a small camp environment.
      • Campers are away from home and they are experiencing something new!  The nurturing environment sets expectations, and campers rise to the occasion and become more responsible and independent.
  • Swimming Lessons

We believe that swimming is an important life-saving skill and we continually get top marks for our swim program. The Full Day Campers have a swim lesson each morning and the group lesson size is small.

The swim staff is entirely separate from the counselor staff, and all members of the swim staff hold Lifeguard Training (LGT) certification, and some hold Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification. On the first day of each session, the new campers are tested for their swimming ability, and at the end of each child's enrollment in camp, an evaluation of progress is sent home in the form of a swim report.

In addition to offering instructional swimming, we also offer recreational swimming as an activity. The children in Lower Camp and Upper Camp have a recreational swim time in the afternoon Monday through Friday.
  • Theme Weeks

Each week we have a special theme and campers can dress up on Fridays if they choose.  Our "Fun Friday" activities are created around the weekly themes.
