Summer Programs
Day Camp

Full Day (K - 6th)

Summer 2021: We are looking forward to welcoming campers back to camp! In the months ahead, we’ll continue monitoring changing conditions and guidance as they emerge, adapting our plans and protocols as-needed to ensure the safety of all involved. For the most current information about Summer 2021, please visit our COVID page.

The Full Day Camp consists of two divisions, Lower Camp (K & 1st) and Upper Camp (2nd - 6th).  A series of activities are planned to ensure a day of variety and fun. Traditional camp activities include: sports, arts, music, instructional and recreational swim, dance & movement, nature, science, crafts, gaga ball, and more! There is also some emphasis on outdoor education woven into the camp program. The instructional activities may include creative arts, high-low ropes course, clay, archery and swimming.

Drop-Off: 8am - 8:25am
Pick-Up: 3:15pm

Lower Camp

Entering Kindergarten and 1st Grade

The Lower Camp offers a well-rounded experience in a nurturing and noncompetitive environment.  This age group transitions out of the THREES and FOURS buildings and they have new activities like archery and low ropes course. Children have a swim lesson in the morning and a recreational swim time in the afternoon.

Our facilities have air conditioned buildings, an archery range, fields, a large gymnasium, 2 heated pools, and they wonderfully support our elementary school-aged campers.

Upper Camp

Entering 2nd - 6th grade

As children progress from lower camp to upper camp, choice activities become a part of their program. We put daily opportunities into the schedule that allow the children in Upper Camp to spend extra time in activities that they find the most exciting, and to spend more time with campers of similar interests.  Choices may include science experiments, art, yoga, friendship bracelets, dance, gaga ball, hand sewing projects, board-games, indoor tennis, ultimate frisbee, newcomb, capture the flag, and more!   In addition, the oldest campers have a weekly Big Buddy activity with our 4 year olds.

All of the Choice Activities are led or supervised by one of our Activity Specialists to ensure that the campers get quality instruction.

In Upper Camp, the children have a swimming lesson every morning, and have a free swim period on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

  • Counselor to Camper Ratio

    Entering K - 3rd Grade
    The ratio is 1:5

    Entering 4th - 6th Grade
    The ratio is 1:8

Only 1 group of campers (group sizes are 15 – 20 campers) is at the Ropes Course activity at any one time. There are 2 trained Ropes Course staff at all times. Counselors stay at the activity according to the “general camp ratios” stated above.
Only 1 group of campers (group sizes are 15 – 20 campers) is at the Archery activity at any one time. There is 1 trained and certified Archery Instructor at all times with 10 children able to be on the range at one time.  Counselors stay at the activity according to the “general camp ratios” stated above.
  • Swimming Lessons

We believe that swimming is an important life-saving skill and we continually get top marks for our swim program. The Full Day Campers have a swim lesson each morning and the group lesson size is small.

The children in Lower Camp have a recreational swim time in the afternoon Monday - Friday.

The children in Upper Camp have a recreational swim time in the afternoon Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

The swim staff is entirely separate from the counseling staff, and all members of the swim staff hold Lifeguard Training (LGT) certification, and most hold Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification. On the first day of each week, the new campers are tested for their swimming ability, and at the end of each child's enrollment in camp, an evaluation of progress is sent home in the form of a swim report.
