Annual giving is the cornerstone of Tenacre’s fundraising activities. Contributions to the Annual Fund are vital to the continuous operation of the school each year, as tuition covers only 76% of Tenacre’s expenses. By providing close to 10% of the school’s operating revenues each year, the Annual Fund helps ensure that Tenacre will meet its mission to "nurture and challenge each child, every day."
Employee Emergency Fund: Established July of 2003 with a gift “to help the personal needs of the Tenacre faculty and staff.” It is available for emergency personal needs, as either a loan or grant, with a limit of $1,000 per year, “unless extreme circumstances require additional amounts." This Fund continues to be supported through additional gifts in other years.
GwinnLandry Fund for Summer Professional Development: Established in July 2014 as part of the At the Forefront capital campaign (2014–2017) by Kim and Mark GwinnLandry through the Landry Family Charitable Foundation to endow the summer professional program, which was originally established through the Endowing Excellence campaign (2005–2009).
Jane Reisman Jampolis '52 Scholarship Fund: This Fund was initially set up in October of 1995 by Marlene M. Graf’55, Trustee of Edith Babson Mustard Living Trust with a gift “to be joined with other funds in your Endowment Fund and used for student scholarships or faculty advancement.
Mabel Wolcott Brown & Spiker Family Fund: Established in December of 2001 through a bequest from the estate of Samuel R. Spiker and Elinor Brown Spiker ’18. Elinor was the daughter of Mabel Wolcott Brown, former Tenacre Headmistress from 1912 to 1930. The Brown Spiker family wished to honor the memory of Elinor Brown Spiker and Mabel Wolcott Brown by creating an endowed fund for faculty salaries.
Patricia B. Cross Fellowship for Master Teachers: Established in January of 1998 with a gift to endowment in Pat Cross’ name, with the hope that other donations would be added to the principal and that “the Finance Committee do what it thinks makes the most sense” with the income. In 2008 Pat Cross instructed the School to use this as the Patricia B. Cross Fellowship for Master Teachers to aid in recruiting and hiring new teachers and to boost compensation for all faculty members.
Phyllis G. Scoboria Fund: Established in December of 2000 upon the death of Phyllis G. Scoboria, a former headmistress of Tenacre from 1952 to 1972, as an endowed fund for faculty professional development.
Ronald Charles Gelb Fund: Established in September of 2007 by Nanci Gelb, this fund provides counseling and support services to staff members and their families and to current families at the school during difficult moments in their lives. This fund is a resource for staff for professional and personal advice, as well as for families who need emotional or parenting guidance. In addition, it could be used to provide pro-active support and strategies to help children and classes with social interaction issues. The Ronald Charles Gelb Fund would allow us to expand the depth and breadth of services to all members of the Tenacre community to enlist counseling support whenever they may need it.
Gwyn Loud Science Fund: Established in May 2006, this endowed fund honors Gwyn Loud on the occasion of her retirement after 26 years of service to Tenacre. Susan Costello Bryant '60 and Gwyn Loud were named Acting Heads of School for the 1994-95 school year. Gwyn was a science teacher, Assistant Head of School, and interim co-head. It is the family’s hope that this fund will ensure that Gwyn’s values and beliefs, so integral to Tenacre’s science program today, will continue at Tenacre after her retirement. There are four areas that this endowed fund will support: 1) science teacher compensation, 2) annual science assembly in Gwyn’s name, 3) the purchase of a book each year for every child in grades 2-6, that connects with the science curriculum taught in each grade, and 4) sustaining the first-time, hands-on, field trip experiences such as Drumlin Farm, the second grade beach trip and the fifth grade trip to the Challenger Center.
Staff Enrichment Fund: Created to provide enriching experiences for teaching and non-teaching staff in addition to the professional development and in-service training funded by the School’s operating budget. The opportunity to fulfill a lifetime ambition for travel, the enhancement or development of a personal talent, interest, or skill, is all supported by this Fund.
The Jeremy and Sherrie Delinsky Family Fund for Faculty and Staff Compensation supports the endowment for faculty and staff compensation. The fund is designed to ensure Tenacre can offer competitive salaries and benefits while reducing future reliance on tuition increases. By growing this endowment, the school can protect its ability to attract and retain exceptional educators for years to come, regardless of market pressures or budget fluctuations.
The Lou Anne Collins Fund for Financial Aid, an endowed fund seeded by contributions from past and present Tenacre families, will provide grants to Tenacre students, ensuring families have access to a Tenacre education. It reflects one of Lou Anne's core convictions: that a child's potential, not a family's financial circumstances, should determine their opportunities. For recipient families, the fund will mean far more than tuition assistance. It will mean the chance to choose Tenacre, and everything that comes with it.
Edith J. Lambert Scholarship Fund: Established in April 2000 upon the retirement of Edith Lambert to “assist a student who would otherwise not be able to benefit from a Tenacre education.”
Community Fund: Established in May of 2006 by Ellie and Phil Loughlin to provide an extra allowance, above and beyond tuition assistance, for all families receiving financial aid. This allowance is intended to help offset extra school expenses that prohibit families from participating.
Jane Reisman Jampolis '52 Scholarship Fund: This Fund was initially set up in October of 1995 by Marlene M. Graf’55, Trustee of Edith Babson Mustard Living Trust with a gift “to be joined with other funds in your Endowment Fund and used for student scholarships or faculty advancement.”
Jeff Grogan Memorial Fund: The Jeff Grogan Memorial Fund honors Jeff Grogan, who graduated from Tenacre in 1968 and maintained strong ties with the school and its community throughout his life. Jeff and Kennie Grogan’s daughters, Ali ’07 and Katie ’12, attended Tenacre, and Jeff went on to serve as a Corporator, a Campaign Chair, a Trustee, and President of the Corporation. For so many of us, Jeff was a guiding presence at Tenacre, giving generously of his talents for many years. His loyalty, wisdom, enthusiasm, and steady influence will endure at Tenacre. He epitomized the best qualities of a Tenacre graduate, and was an exemplary leader in our community. The Grogan family established the Jeff Grogan Memorial Fund in Jeff's honor.

Susan had been involved with Tenacre as a student, teacher, trustee and parent. The income from the scholarship fund is to be used as a financial aid grant to a child or children who might otherwise be unable to afford a Tenacre education.
The Jean Ferguson Fund was established in 1993 by Jean’s family to honor her many years of service to Tenacre. The interest earned on this Fund is directed to the school’s academic support program to provide individual tutoring and support outside of the school to any Tenacre student.
Chess Club Fund: This Fund was established June of 2003 with a gift from Kevin and Libby McClintock for the specific purpose of supporting chess programs. The Fund would support, in order of priority: kindergarten chess class; financial aid for families who need help paying for chess class; chess materials for the chess program; a faculty chess class; and a general subsidy to reduce the cost of chess for all Tenacre students.
