Term 2 Student Council works hard in final meeting

Members of Student Council were busy during their lunch meeting this afternoon, wrapping up business from last week’s bake sale and can drive. Representatives from grades 4, 5, and 6 ate lunch in the sixth grade classroom and then got to work. One group of students counted and organized hundreds of canned goods that will be delivered to a food pantry tomorrow. The other group counted the proceeds from the bake sale, with all money to be given to the Make-a-Wish Foundation. This was the final meeting for Term 2 of Student Council, whose theme was the local community. Term 3 will start in early January with a new group of fourth, fifth, and sixth graders.
