Artist shows how the beauty of wood can be inspiring

Yesterday, Tenacre welcomed artist Tova Speter, whose all-school presentation inspired our community to look at wood from a different perspective. Tova finds leftover pieces of wood and reclaims them to create art that showcases the beauty and individuality of each piece. As Tova says, “I paint on scrap wood to highlight the often-overlooked beauty that will shine through when the time is taken to shift to a new perspective. Tova also worked with fifth graders in art class, when students created their own painted wood pieces that will be displayed at the bottom of the TAG hallway.
