Babysitting and pizza provided for accompanying children.

ADHD is among the most common neurodevelopmental conditions in children.  It has immediate effects on students and learning, but also on long-term outcomes such as health, work, and social-emotional functioning.  This presentation will provide an understanding of how common ADHD is, what causes it, how to diagnose the condition, how to treat it, and an understanding of the range of long-term outcomes.

The workshop will be led by Dr. David Stein, a pediatric psychologist specializing in neuropsychological testing.  Dr. Stein has many years of experience working with children, adolescents, and young adults through his work at Boston Children's Hospital and Harvard Medical School, in various schools, and at New England Neurodevelopment.  Dr. Stein completed his undergraduate education at Tufts University, his doctorate at William James College, and his clinical training through Harvard Medical School at the Cambridge Hospital and Boston Children's Hospital. He is well-versed and experienced in working with medical providers, independent schools, school systems, colleges, and educational institutions. This allows Dr. Stein and his team at NEN to make practical and meaningful recommendations that are understood and accepted by educational and treatment teams.
