Fifth graders experience history

Tenacre fifth graders participated in a dynamic history lesson today at the Boston Tea Party Museum. The field trip was made in conjunction with their social studies curriculum—fifth graders are now studying the events leading up to the American Revolution. They started the day by re-enacting a meeting at the Old South Meeting House, which led to the Boston Tea Party. They ended the day with a visit to a “ship” in Boston Harbor to re-enact the dumping of tea. After participating in the interactive tour, students relaxed with their bag lunches near the waterfront before heading back to Tenacre for afternoon classes.
Tenacre nurtures and challenges each child, every day.
