Collaborative art piece now adorns wall in Design Center

Tenacre’s Design Center officially opened last June, but to kick off the 2025–2026 school year, Tenacre art teachers Molly Rosenthal and Frances Rodriguez created a collaborative art project in which every Tenacre student would leave their mark—literally. The result is a unique and colorful piece that was recently installed on the third floor of the Design Center, home to Tenacre’s three beautiful art rooms. Each student contributed two ceramic thumbprints to this collaborative work. The thumbprints represent every child’s individuality, while honoring the strength of our collective creativity. Coral reefs inspired the final design, referencing the natural, joyful evolution of Tenacre’s campus growth.
