Tenacre celebrates National Poetry Month

Tenacre third graders rang in National Poetry Month this morning with an all-school assembly, taking the mic to share their favorite poems. The volunteers treated the audience to works by Shel Silverstein, Lewis Carroll, Ashley Rice, Robert Louis Stevenson, and Jack Prelutsky. First celebrated in 1996 by the Academy of American Poetry, National Poetry Month has since grown into the largest literary celebration in the world.
