Who works at Tenacre?
Tenacre Day Camp counselors are dedicated, fun, enthusiastic, caring, and dependable people. Our staff is composed of approximately 100 teaching professionals and college students, who serve as strong leaders and positive role models. All staff are at least 18 years of age, and most staff have completed one year of college or more. Our Activity Specialists are college graduates and many of them teach during the school year. We are proud to say that we have a high rate of staff return each year.
Where do most staff come from?
Our staff mostly live within a short driving distance from camp. They live in Wellesley and nearby towns within a 30 - 45 minute drive.

Dress Code
A dress code is enforced for professionalism. The Staff T-Shirt that you are given during staff training must be worn EVERY MONDAY. All staff members receive a staff ID tag with a lanyard, and this must be worn every day. Campers and staff are required to wear a close-toed sneaker at all times. Lifeguards must wear sneakers at arrival and dismissal, and footwear when leaving the pool deck. As a guide, all shorts should be at least fingertip-length when your hands are at your side. More information about dress code will be outlined in your staff handbook and reviewed during staff training.
