ART SATURDAYS
Explore your creative side this January with three classes focusing on a variety of aspects of art. Each workshop will consist of an educational section and a hands-on creative session. Second, third, and fourth grade students will take home their own masterpiece based on the style and process studied. The classes will be taught by Tenacre art teacher Molly Curry and Tenacre technology teacher Melissa Roper.
  • January 5: Winter Landscapes   In this workshop, students will learn how to create a winter landscape showing light, shadow, and perspective. They will explore texture, color, space, and composition. All students will leave with a completed painting inspired by winter in New England!
  • January 12: Making Scribble Bots   In this workshop, students will merge art and technology to create a one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
  • January 26: Jim Dine Hearts   In this workshop, students will learn how to create a heart inspired by artist Jim Dine, exploring texture, color, space, and composition. All students will leave with a completed mixed media 2-D artwork and small sculpture.
