4th graders focus on stereotyping in diversity unit

As a part of the mini-unit on diversity, which defines stereotyping in a variety of topics, fourth graders complete personal culture posters. On these posters, children write sentences about their personal background, a paragraph about an object that represents their identity, and a photo of the object they chose. By writing about their own culture, they are able to connect to the global community through class discussion.
