Join us this fall for an engaging program for children aged 6-8 (grades 1-3). Each session is a separate unit taught by a Tenacre teacher.
Children aged 6-8 (grades 1-3) will use all of their senses during a nature walk through the Tenacre campus. They will observe signs of the changing seasons and collect pieces of nature along the way. After the nature walk, children will create their own fall leaf wreath with materials found on their walk.
Children aged 6-8 (grades 1-3) will engage in a read-aloud of Halloween favorites and then create their own Halloween decoupage lantern.
Children aged 6-8 (grades 1-3) will use their eyes and ears as they participate in a nature walk around the Tenacre campus, looking for signs of fall animals—feathers, tracks, nests. They will make observations about fall animals they see. After the nature walk, children will be led in a directed drawing activity of a fall animal.
Super Saturdays will start at 9:00 a.m. and run for about one hour. Super Saturdays will be held outside, weather permitting.
Super Saturdays is free of charge, but registration is required so we can have materials prepared for your child(ren). Please contact Megan Delaney at firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions.
