Free Kung Fu Class

Tenacre Country Day School and SSDS Wellesley are pleased to offer a FREE Kung Fu trial class for children aged 3-7 on Saturday, February 29, 9:00–10:00 a.m., in the Tenacre Country Day School Gymnasium.

Have you ever wondered about the benefits of enrolling your young child in Kung-Fu classes? At Steve DeMasco’s Shaolin Studio in Wellesley, each class teaches children to:
  • move appropriately
  • control their bodies
  • develop gross and fine motor coordination
More importantly, kids learn the values of:
  • self-control
  • self-discipline
  • patience
  • respect
  • honesty
These skills are part of Grandmaster DeMasco’s trademark Life Skills system. Children learn to work and play well with others in a fun and safe environment.

Support the Tenacre/Red Cross blood drive
Tenacre students and staff are asking for community support for their blood drive on February 27, 2020. Co-sponsored by the American Red Cross, the blood drive is open to the public. Appointments can be made, and walk-ins are welcome. The event location and time is as follows:
  • Thursday, February 27, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Tenacre Country Day School, 78 Benvenue Street, Wellesley
Although Tenacre students are too young to give blood, there are many other ways they are contributing to the blood drive. Fifth and sixth graders will assist with registration, the canteen, and guiding donors to Wells Playhouse. Second graders have made posters, and third and fourth graders will write thank you notes to the donors.

To make an appointment, please contact the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED CROSS or visit www.redcrossblood.org
Tenacre nurtures and challenges each child, every day.
