The camp has
two outside, in-ground, heated pools. The camp participates in the
Red Cross Progressive Skills Program. All members of the swim staff hold Life Guard Training (LGT) certification and most also hold Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification. The swim staff is entirely separate from the counseling staff. Every morning each child has an instructional swim lesson. In the afternoon, children have a second swim that is recreational, also under the supervision of the swim staff. Each swim group is small. Most groups average 3-5 swimmers. Each child is individually tested on his/her first day of camp. Many of our youngest children swim “1-on-1” with their instructors.
The camp will assist parents by emailing families a “Camper Listing by ZIPcode,” which may be used to form carpools. Transportation is not provided.

Water Stations |
There are water stations located inside and outside throughout the campus, and campers are encouraged to drink throughout the day.
Campers bring their own lunch to camp in an insulated bag. There is refrigeration provided for each camper’s lunch. Juice, lemonade, white and chocolate milk, and water are always available at lunch in an unlimited quantity. The camp is sensitive to camper allergy issues. Tenacre Day Camp is a peanut/nut aware camp, which reduces the risk to children with life threatening nut allergies.
The camp provides a mid-morning snack, which may include crackers, cookies, or pretzels. Juice, lemonade, and water are provided at snack time.
The camp nurse will be on duty daily from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. to manage the campers’ health needs. All camper health forms and medications are kept with the nurse in the health office.

Health Information |
The
Emergency Information Card and

Physician’s form that must be returned by March 1st. Each child must have health and accident insurance in effect for the inclusive dates of the camp season. The online camper health forms are available by clicking
