Swing Walk Graphic Philosophy

The camp philosophy is to provide a warm, loving, safe environment in which campers are encouraged to participate in a wide range of age-appropriate activities which are educationally sound, encourage group cohesiveness, and provide opportunities for individual creativity. The camp is sensitive to individual campers allergy issues and is a peanut/nut aware campus. Tenacre Day Camp promotes respect for the environment, individual rights, and the common values we all hold: honesty, cooperation, caring for others, friendship, and self-esteem.

Swing Walk Graphic The Staff

Tenacre Day Camp intentionally maintains a high ratio of counselors to campers. Each activity is headed by a college graduate with competency and expertise in that particular field. Similarly, qualified, mature college graduates and/or college-aged counselors guide each camper group. Most of the staff has been with the camp for many years and a significant number are presently teaching in area schools.
