Class plays are an important tradition at Tenacre. With each Class Play, the children gain confidence with performing for an audience and become more comfortable speaking in public. The stage in Wells Playhouse provides a comfortable and nurturing environment in which the children perform their plays for the school community. Alumni often return to Tenacre and to the very spot on the stage in Wells Playhouse where they recall their favorite role in a class play.

PK - 4th Grade Play
Every year, each class, PK through 4th grade, performs a play for the school and parent audience. Generally, the plays are written and directed by the teachers with some assistance and input from the students. The plays begin at 8:30 a.m. and take place in Wells Playhouse.

5th and 6th Grade Musical
Grades 5 and 6 perform in a Spring Musical in late May. Please see the current Tenacre Directory for the dates. In addition to the Musical, the fifth grade performs "Twelfth Night," "A Midsummer Night's Dream," or "Romeo and Juliet" in the fall as part of their study on Shakespeare.
