Spanish is taught in grades one through six. In all classes students have many opportunities to speak Spanish through games, dialogues, oral presentations, drills, songs, and poems. Classes are filled with a variety of activities that include props and movement and invite every student to participate. Each grade learns about the culture of a Spanish-speaking country. In grades four through six, writing and grammar are added to the oral part of the curriculum.  The Symtalk Language Program is being phased in one grade level each year.
