Students and parents contact schools for catalogs and school materials.

Late August/Early September

Students arrange a 30 minute meeting with Mr. Elliot to discuss summer activities, the sixth grade year and the admissions process.

Parents schedule a meeting with Mr. Elliot to review Secondary School options.

Late October/November

Sixth graders and parents:

visit Secondary Schools.

submit all forms and transcript requests to Tenacre office.

register for ISEE test - we recommend the January testing date. A copy of the results should be sent to Tenacre.

attend Secondary School Admission Open Houses.

December/January

Grade Six teachers write recommendations and complete school forms.

Mr. Elliot writes supporting statements on behalf of each candidate.

Students prepare applications and take ISEE test.

Late January

Tenacre mails transcripts and recommendation letters to Secondary Schools.

February 1

All applications and supporting materials – student, parent and school – due at the Secondary Schools.

March 10

Secondary School admission decision letters mailed to applicants.

April 10

Deadline for students to commit and enroll at school of his/her choice.
