Annual Giving is the cornerstone of Tenacre's fundraising activities. Like most independent schools, Tenacre tuition covers only 73% of the operating costs of the school. The balance comes from other sources, of which the Annual Fund is a major part. Each year, we invite over 1,500 members of the community: parents, alumni, grandparents, parents of alumni, staff and friends of the school to participate in annual giving. The Annual Fund kicks off in the fall and concludes with the close of the school's fiscal year on June 30th.
Each year, approximately 16% of Tenacre alumni contribute to the Annual Fund. Here are examples of how your gift impacts the school: field trips, guest speakers, classroom materials and equipment, enabling our faculty to complete courses toward advanced degrees, facility maintenance, and scholarship grants for qualified students.
