We are delighted that you are interested in our school! Tenacre is an independent, coeducational elementary school, enrolling 191 children in the metro-west suburbs outside of Boston. We are situated on a beautiful ten acre campus in Wellesley, near Wellesley College and adjacent to the Dana Hall School.
Our campus includes traditional school buildings, an 8,500 volume Library, full-sized Gymnasium and locker rooms, a state-of-the-art Technology Center, two athletic fields, a dedicated Science building with a tide-pool, and two newly refurbished playgrounds.
Tenacre begins with a Pre-Kindergarten class of 18 children, adding an additional 4 students for a Kindergarten class of 22. Two additional students are added in both Grade 1 and Grade 4.
Our diverse student body comes from 20 towns surrounding Wellesley, as well as from various neighborhoods in Boston.
On this web site you will find information about our curriculum and calendar, our faculty and all the many exciting activities that take place every day at Tenacre. We invite you to come to the school in person for a tour of our facilities and an opportunity to learn first-hand about the stimulating and engaging program our faculty plans daily for our students.
We look forward to meeting your family!

DIRECTIONS TO TENACRE
Routes 135 and 16 intersect in Wellesley Center at a main set of lights (a five-way intersection). At this intersection, go left on Grove Street, which is the road to the left of Anderson's Jewelers. Follow Grove Street 1/2 mile past Dana Hall School. Take a left onto Benvenue Street (on corner there is a white sign with green lettering that says "Tenacre"). The school is the first drive on the left. Please park in the lot behind the school in the spaces marked "Visitors."
